CNC Parts Landed Cost Calculator
Compare up to three CNC machining quotes using the same order quantity, currency and delivery point. The workbook adds tooling, freight, duties and inspection to the part price so you can compare the total delivered cost and the cost per part.
Use the same cost basis
1. Enter each quote
Set the quantity and comparison currency. Convert each supplier’s figures to that currency, then enter the unit price and any tooling or setup charges billed to the order.
2. Add the cost of delivery
Include freight, insurance, duties, nonrecoverable taxes, inspection and brokerage only where you pay them separately. Enter zero for costs already included or that do not apply.
A worked example
For an illustrative order of 1,000 parts, Supplier A quotes €6.50 per part and Supplier B quotes €5.90. With tooling and delivery charges included, Supplier A costs €7.95 per part and Supplier B costs €8.30. The workbook shows how the lower unit quote can result in a higher delivered cost.
Use shipment-specific duty and tax amounts confirmed by your broker. Compare quotes against the same drawing revision, material, finish and inspection requirements.
